Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close process
Maintain accurate general ledger records and financial reports
Ensure proper cost allocation by location, department, and production line
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Analyze Accounts Receivable (AR) and evaluate allowance for doubtful accounts
Review Accounts Payable (AP) activity, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and corporate credit card transactions
Support inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and reserves in a manufacturing environment
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Maintain accounting schedules aligned with ASC standards (leases, inventory reserves, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, finance) to resolve discrepancies
Support process improvements and system enhancements
Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3–5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role (manufacturing experience preferred)
Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting is a plus
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Adaptable and comfortable learning new systems and technologies
High ethical standards and professionalism
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central)
Knowledge of DataRails or Power BI is a plus
CPA or CMA certification is a plus
