Sesma is seeking a motivated and well-qualified attorney with at least five (5) years of experience practicing law in a law firm or in the corporate legal department of a global corporation to support the strategic management of matters, transactions and liabilities involved in working with our clients and their different internal areas and teams. The position will assist one of our Senior Partners directly and daily with complex legal matters, advising Sesma’s clients on legal implications and risk exposures involved in diverse commercial transactions across multiple geographies.
As a Commercial Contracts Attorney, you will support clients in representing the company’s best interests in transactional matters; interactions with commercial customers, landlords, vendors, and service providers; contract negotiations; and other opportunities. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial service contracts and other commercial documents, confidentiality agreements, lease agreements, construction agreements, warehousing, equipment leases, equipment purchase agreements, consulting agreements, and information technology-related license documents, among others.
In addition, the position will provide routine support on corporate and regulatory matters and other general legal questions from clients and internal teams at Sesma. A successful candidate must be able to effectively manage multiple matters with different priorities at the same time.



Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate will have:
• A law degree and a professional license/authorization to practice law in Mexico and/or another jurisdiction within the Americas region, in good standing.
• Fluency in English is required. Nearly all written communications are conducted in English.
• Previous experience in the transportation and logistics industry (preferred but not required).
• Contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• The ability to identify, analyze, assess, and communicate legal risks to enable clients to make quality, risk-adjusted business decisions.
• Impeccable integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness and an appropriate initiative and work ethic.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Location
The position will be based in Sesma’s office located in Mexico City.
