Students pursuing a degree in: in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science. Assists in various tasks aligned with their field of study, including research, collaboration on team initiatives and projects, problem-solving, and creative thinking to gain hands-on experience and develop professional skills. Includes internships, research roles, visiting scholar positions, or other program-related opportunities.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS FOR AN INTERNSHIP , YOU SHOULD BE CURRENTLY STUDYING and for at least the next 12 months IS MANDATORY TO BE LOCATED IN GUADALAJARA
Management Level Definition:
Job Summary
The intern will work with the Customer Experience & Analytics team to leverage machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and statistical modeling to analyze customer interactions, identify pain points, and optimize support processes. The goal is to develop AI-driven insights that improve the customer journey from onboarding to retention.
Key Responsibilities
Model Development: Build, test, and tune machine learning models (e.g., propensity models, classification, clustering, recommendation engines) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in customer behavior.
NLP & Generative AI: Utilize LLMs and NLP to analyze text-based customer data (chat logs, emails, surveys) for sentiment analysis and to develop AI agents that improve workflow productivity.
Data Preparation & Engineering: Extract, clean, and pre-process raw, structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources (SQL databases, CRM platforms like Salesforce, logs).
Customer Insights & Visualization: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand customer journeys and create actionable dashboards and reports (Tableau, Power BI, Excel) to present findings to stakeholders.
Proactive Support: Develop predictive models to identify potential customer churn or service disruptions before they occur.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and SQL.
ML Knowledge: Familiarity with supervised/unsupervised learning techniques and statistical modeling.
Tools: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
Soft Skills: Accountability, Proactivity, Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to translate data into "stories" for non-technical stakeholders, and a passion for improving customer experience.
Impact/Scope:
University students actively enrolled in a university/college/institution pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study, and who typically works during school breaks and then returns to their university. While this applies to most interns, there may be opportunities for full-time students to work as part-time interns during the school year in some countries.
