Manager Finance Planning & Analysis Postular

Key activities:
- Provide day to day financial management and analytics to support the respective Finance business partners, business stakeholders and support teams.
- Manage delivery of decision support activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of performance including production of high quality visual and written presentations
- Manage the development of static reports and dynamic dashboards that provide complete, reliable, accurate and timely business information for financial management reporting purposes.
- Coordinate the planning, budgeting and forecasting and quarterly business reviews processes in support of the Finance business partners, managing the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare financial performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities and offering solutions.
- Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis, incl. scenario modelling to support decision making.
- Build strong working relationships with Finance business partners and collaborate to deliver high quality, relevant insight.
- Recommend process changes to improve IHG's financial performance and financial controls.
- Act as an escalation point for audit queries.

Key Deliverables:
"- Review & finalize management accounts, address issues, execute SOX controls & respond to audit queries
- Provide finance-related management reporting, insight & analytics to executive standard
- Provide inputs to external disclosure processes via investor relations
- Deliver budgets & forecasts

Key stakeholders
"Internal:
- Finance Business Partner customers (varies by role) to VP level
- Group FP&A and Investor relations
- Controller group including Global reporting and Compliance
- Parallel/vertical support teams including R2R, Data Solutions, wider GFP
External:
- Auditors

Technical Skills/ Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of management accounts delivery including IFRS.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving skills & ability to apply critical judgment and thought to challenge and arrive at independent conclusions.
- Ability to bridge operational and financial performance and to present complex information in a simplified manner to derive insight.
- Ability to challenge processes and lead process improvement initiatives.

Soft skills
"- Ability to prioritize and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation.
- Ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with relevant Finance business partners and Group FP&A team members, and to effectively collaborate with Finance teams across the globe to drive service delivery.
- Able to independently manage and deliver outputs, incl. managing stakeholders' expectations and junior colleagues.
- Responsive and customer focused approach in day-to-day activities.

Tools and knowledge platform
- Proficient user of Oracle, Essbase, reporting tools, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ideally some capacity with data applications or visualizations suites (such as Tableau).

Background Experience
- Experience (>5 years) as a senior finance analyst in a global organization, incl. experience with operational planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, management reporting, cost and project expenditure control and allocation, scenario analysis and modelling, with preference for leisure and hospitality or similar single unit, multi-revenue stream operations.
- Preferably, exposure to the culture and ways of working in the supported region(s)."

Education:
Finance or business-related education. Preferably holding a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or whatever local equivalent is expected of 'qualified accountants'
